Fraternal Greetings
Welcome to the Emulation 67 web-site. We hope you find the information contained in its pages of interest. The Worshipful Master, Wardens and Members of Emulation No. 67 wish you all Fraternal Greetings.
We meet on the second Saturday in September — our Installation meeting — and on the second Saturdays of November, December, February, March, April, May and June. These meetings begin at 11:00 am and are followed by a Festive Board, at which only Brethren dine.
Lodges of Instruction are held on the fourth Monday of the month at 18:00 during September, October, November, January, February, March and April. Any Brother is most welcome to attend; full details can be obtained from the Secretary.
Although Emulation No. 67 is a small Lodge, a warm welcome awaits all visitors.
Heritage
A Lodge with deep roots in Spain
The Duke of Wharton, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of England (1722–1723), set up the first Masonic Lodge in Spain in 1728 — the French Arms Lodge No. 50, located in San Bernardo Street, Madrid. It was the first English-speaking Lodge in Spain.
Almost three centuries later, Emulation 67 continues that same English-speaking tradition in the Spanish capital, working the Emulation Rite under the regular obedience of the Gran Logia de España, in amity with the United Grand Lodge of England and every regular jurisdiction in the world.
